Modern Oceanfront Villa

Nice villa but full of pests Positive: The villa is nice and aesthetically pleasing with a nice pool. There are 2 rooms with a queen bed so good for two couples or 2 singles. The futon is definitely not for sleeping due to the ants in the couch. Negative: Our trip to the Dominican republic was full of surprises but we were not expecting the terrible surprises this villa held…The villa is beautiful and aesthetically pleasing, however it was infested with ants and roaches. We acknowledge that seeing bugs in the Caribbean is normal but this was far from normal. There were ants on the couch, the bathrooms, kitchen area and bedrooms.. along with the ants, there were roaches everywhere especially the kitchen area like in the fridge and all over the counters. This situation led to us having to throw out all the food we bought for the week because they were infested with bugs. We reached out to the host & booking.com about this problem; They said maintenance would be scheduled to come the following day but we were met with radio silence and no one ever showed up. We were not taken seriously, we had to go buy repellents to get rid of the pests on our own. Beyond the bug issues, we also had no air conditioning in the common areas of the villa. It was blowing hot air and made the common area/kitchen of the villa unbearable to be in. The purpose of our trip was to rest and unwind but we were not able to for one second without thinking about bugs crawling all over us. It is unfortunate how much loss we had.. We find it disheartening and frustrating that this establishment is being kept this way and allowing guest to stay in these conditions. To make matters worse our check out was at 11am and the electricity was turned off around 9am. The host made some excuse that he didn't know and it was a power issue but the moment we mentioned still being there, it was magically turned on again, and promptly turned off at 10.58am. The unprofessionalism of service and communication that we experienced was abysmal, we had no support whatsoever. There should’ve been preventative measures to make sure guests feel welcomed and heard especially since we did not stay here for free.

Great location, quiet areas to relax and up beat areas for the younger crowd Positive: Loves the location, loads of pools including the one at the villa which had a jacuzzi built in. Didn’t have a chance to try the food but it all looked great. Host was amazing, great communication and did everything right to assist me with a speedy check in. Negative: Leaving the property

Positive: Es war sehr sauber und ordentlich. Alles hat bestens funktioniert Besonders der Pool hat allen sehr gut gefallen. Negative: Für mich waren die Betten zu weich. Die anderen fanden sie aber ok.

Amazing stay in a beautiful Villa with a fantastic Host. Positive: The property is absolutely beautiful. The pool with the built-in Jacuzzi was amazing. The pool area had its own kitchen, shower and bathroom. Just like in the pics. The kitchen was fully stocked with everything, including paper towels, dish soap and even ice in the freezer. Also there was a drinking water dispenser built into the sink. Fantastic! All the bathrooms had plenty of toilet paper and soap. There were also plenty of towels. For the shower and pool. Superb. The host responded immediately when the power went out and the power was restored fast. In 8 years of traveling to this beautiful country, this was by far one of my best stays. Every room had ice cold ac’s and powerful ceiling fans. I will absolutely, definitely book this property again. Negative: The only con would be about the insects. But this is not the property’s fault at all. This is the Caribbean. There are insects everywhere.
